The Lads

Dan Wilson

Favourite Origin: Ethiopia

Favourite Brew Method: v60

Favourite fictional tasting note: Rose blossom

Favourite Alternate Careers: Triathlon-ing, PhD-ing

Favourite Metal Album: Neurosis 'The Eye of Every Storm'. The obvious answer for everyone I would imagine.

Greatest risk ever taken in the name of specialty coffee: Risking a strong chance of being bike-jacked riding through the less salubrious slums of Cape Town wearing lycra and sporting a $10, 000 bike, searching for a mythical coffee shop, eager to get the perfect pre-race brew prior to a World Triathlon Series race. I found the premises, got the fix, and set new power records both entering and leaving the district.

Josh Amberger

Favourite Origin: Panama

Favourite Brew Method: v60

Favourite fictional tasting note: Blossoming orchards

Favourite Alternate Careers: Grains, hops, yeast, massive kegs and 500ml tinnies.

Favourite Metal Album: Ethereal Shroud 'They Became the Falling Ash'. I've always been told I've got A.D.D., but I will prove you wrong by  sitting down and listening to this album; staring into vacant space unclenched throughout the 25 minute long track lengths.

Greatest risk ever taken in the name of specialty coffee: Going one on one with a US customs official, explaining to him that the scales in my carry-on baggage in fact have nothing to do with drug paraphernalia, and that an Aeropress is not some sort of perverted pleasure toy. Yeah... I brewed the shit out of that Kenyan Giankanja AA in the transit lounge.
